Open Soho: Latest News Mike Fletcher

Open Soho is evolving. We know that each month, many of you clamber to get a free ticket only to be disappointed by the phenomenal take-up at these events. To try and ensure that tickets end up in the sweaty palms of people who actually attend our fun and funky Open Soho events, Net.works will now be charging a minimal fee of £5. We believe, this cost could make the difference between getting too comfy on the sofa watching TV and preventing someone else from having a good time, and putting your coat on and heading out into the night air to join us on the dancefloor. We hope you agree.

Digital Dinners: Apply now! Mike Fletcher

Dear friends, colleagues & entrepreneurs passionate about connecting to do business,

Net.works is a new kind of networking events company. Our aim is simple. We connect like-minded people who are serious about discussing business by staging informal, fun events in relaxed surroundings.

We thought you may be interested in the first of our Digital Dinners series.

Inspiring dinner party conversation often depends on who’s sitting next to you. With theDigital Dinners format, there’s no need to sneak in beforehand and move the place-names around (although, we guess you can if you really want to). Up to twelve guests are matched according to their business interests. We then ensure both the wine and the chat keep on flowing throughout a three-course meal in lavish surroundings. Topics are discussed, issues debated and contacts are made in a relaxed, fun and non-pressured environment. How you then choose to develop the contacts you’ll make after being wined and dined by us, is entirely up to you.

Should this interest you, this is what you need to do:

In order to help us match you to fellow dinner party guests of mutual business interests, all we need is a three-line 50 word biography outlining your current business role and any specialist areas of interest. Please email digitaldinners@segala.com

The dates of the first Digital Dinners will be in early April so the deadline for biography applications is Friday 20 March

The venue will be central London. There will be a small cost per head including wine and a paid bar thereafter.

If you’re one of the first 12 Digital Diners, you will be notified of the date, venue and theme of the evening’s conversation by email before 1 April.

Unsuccessful applicants, don’t worry - once we have your biographies, we will be planning more Digital Dinners around you and your business needs.

All the best,

The Net.works team

Fancy 4 days of fun and focused business in Bordeaux? Picture this - a stunning 17th century chateau with fine wine, gourmet cuisine, 3 swimming pools and as an added bonus, 23 like minded entrepreneurs, equally buzzing, equally focused and equally driven for success?

No problem.

How it works

We focus: on your business, on helping one another and on looking forward. Success. An invaluable opportunity for you to stand back, speak out and get feedback/advice and direct help. We are delighted to working with Angel’s Den, Europe’s foremost Angel network. Come find out why 312 Angels came to the site on Christmas Day and how they have funded more deals than all of the rest combined.

We have fun – with 3 4 days of planned themed dinners/breakfasts, plenty of time for you to relax, indulge and build strong relationships . We have planned focused strategies to bring out the best of the best from each of you. It will not be intense – it will not be role play and it will NOT be 60 seconds to talk about yourself. About Net.works

Background

Net.works is a new events company I’m launching with my partners in crime; Mike Fletcher, former editor turned freelance journalist and Caroline Whitmey, Founder of Ms Bond. Together we’re launching an events initiative aimed at connecting those people serious about doing business.

Net.works manage regular breakfast and evening social meet-ups, bringing together hard-to-reach innovators from across a wide range of related fields. The company’s goal is to forge stronger relations and encourage greater collaboration between the interactive and digital start-up communities and the worlds of business, finance, media and advertising.

Following on from the hugely successful Top Cats invitation-only events, organised by Paul Walsh and fellow entrepreneur Robert Loch during the past year, Net.works is taking exclusive business networking to the next level.
